The Ronco de Leão (Snoring Lion) is a musical
instrument that allows to make perpetual the
motion of rubbing a rope.
O Ronco de Leão é um instrumento musical que
permite tornar perpétuo o movimento de
friccionar uma corda.
Previously it was necessary to always use two
hands, one holding the instrument with skin, and
the other, usually wetted, rubbed a string that
conveyed their vibrations to the skin.
Antigamente era necessário utilizar sempre as
duas mãos, uma segurando o instrumento com
pele, e a outra, normalmente humedecida,
friccionava um cordel que transmitia as suas
vibrações à pele.
Currently, there is a crank system that allows you
to play the instrument on an ongoing basis and
only with one hand, while also allowing
sequences richest rhythmically.
Actualmente, existe um sistema de manivela que
permite tocar o instrumento de uma forma
contínua e apenas com uma mão, permitindo
também sequências mais ricas ritmicamente.
The Ronco de Leão (Snoring Lion) MISSOM® is
produced based on a Portuguese popular drum,
made with natural skin. In the rope is applied one
tensioner which allows not having always the
rope and the skin under tension, thus saving their
physical characteristics.
O Ronco de Leão MISSOM® é produzido tendo
por base um tambor popular português com pele
natural. Na corda é aplicado um esticador que
permite não ter sempre a corda e a pele sob
tensão, poupando assim as suas características
físicas.
