Grammar focus (Gramática)
“Verbos Causativos” (let, make, have, get) são usados quando alguém provoca o
acontecimento de algo ou leva alguém a fazer algo.
 Aqui está a forma de usar os verbos causativos:
let/make/have + PESSOA + verbo
get + PESSOA + to + verbo
 “Let” é usado para permitir alguém a fazer algo, ou permitir algo acontecer.
Nota: A conjugação no passado de“let” é também “let”.
E.g.）
I will let my children play outside.（Eu vou deixar meus filhos brincarem
do lado de fora.）
Don’t let the water spill from the cup.（Não deixe a água derramar do
copo.）
“Make” é usado para forçar alguém a fazer algo que frequentemente eles não querem fazer.
E.g.）
I will make him tell the truth.（Eu vou fazê-lo dizer a verdade.）
Don’t make her do what she doesn’t want to do.（Não faça-a fazer o que
ela não quer.）
“Have” é usado para dar à alguém a responsabilidade de fazer algo.
E.g.）
I will have him print the documents out.（Eu vou mandá-lo imprimir os
documentos.）
I had my pictures taken.（Eu tive as minhas fotos tiradas.）

“Get” é usado para persuadir alguém a fazer algo.
E.g.）
I don’t know how to get everybody to listen to me.（Eu não sei como
fazer todos me ouvirem.）
I have to get him to try it out.（Eu preciso fazê-lo experimentar.）
