Cristiano de Sousa and Ana Margarida star in Casino Estoril’s
next Fado night
Next Wednesday, January 18th, from 22h onwards, Casino Estoril proposes yet another
night dedicated to Fado starring Cristiano Sousa and Ana Margarida. The duo will share
Lounge D’s stage with Diogo Lucena Quadros and Bernardo Romão on the guitars, and
Luís Roquette on the acoustic guitars. Free admission.
Cristiano de Sousa
Cristiano de Sousa always felt the throbbing pulse of fado in his blood thanks to his uncle
Dionisio de Sousa’s influence. He started performing at a young age, having stepped onto
great international stages. In Portugal, he’s a regular singer at some of the best fado
houses, such as the Luso Restaurant and Adega Machado.
Ana Margarida
Fado is her mother’s most precious heritage. Born in Oliveira de Azeméis, she took her
first steps in the world of musicals in 2004 with the show “Navio”, and, in the next year,
with “Fungágá da Bicharada”, both co-produced by Teatro da Trindade. Her fado
baptism took place in 2008, at Fernanda Baptista’s homage, in Teatro Sá da Bandeira.
This month’s Fado cycle renews on every Wednesday: Peu Madureira and Ana Sofia
Varela will take the stage on January 25th, from 22 hours onwards, at our Lounge D.
Due to legal imperatives, access to Casino Estoril’s space is reserved for ages over
18.
