EMENTA: Neste seminário, que dá continuidade a nossas investigações e discussões em teoria
crítica, normatividade e filosofia política, devemos explorar o enfoque do problema da
normatividade social em modelos construtivistas (Rawls) e reconstrutivos (Habermas, Honneth) da
razão pública e das instituições e práticas sociais em sociedades democráticas pluralistas, à luz das
mais importantes contribuições recentes das ciências sociais e cognitivas, focando os problemas
correlatos da evolução social, da epistemologia social, do "cérebro social" e da psicologia social.
Neste semestre, vamos estudar o livro seminal de Jürgen Habermas, Teoria do Agir Comunicativo
(Trad. Paulo Astor Soethe e Flavio Siebeneichler. Volumes I e II. São Paulo: Martins Fontes, 2012;
Theorie des kommunikativen Handelns. Frankfurt: Suhrkamp, 1981).
OBJETIVO: Introduzir o estudante a problemas contemporâneos de normatividade e aprofundar seus
conhecimentos e reflexões em Teoria Crítica, Filosofia Política, Ética e Teoria Social.
CONTEÚDO: Introdução à normatividade e problemas contemporâneos de Teoria Crítica, Filosofia
Política, Ciências Sociais, Ética e Epistemologia Social, partindo da leitura de textos seletos. O tema
do seminário enfocará problemas teorético-críticos de uma reconstrução normativa à luz da
articulação entre ética do discurso, normatividade e instituições sociais, sistemas jurídicos, políticoadministrativos & econômicos e mundo da vida. Website do seminário:

PROCEDIMENTOS METODOLÓGICOS: Trata-se de um curso expositivo-participativo, no qual serão
requeridas leituras semanais, apresentações orais e a participação do aluno nos debates e workshops.
Pré-requisito único: proficiência em inglês, alemão ou francês.
PROCEDIMENTOS E CRITÉRIOS DE AVALIAÇÃO: Freqüência obrigatória. Apresentação oral (pelo
menos uma, em sala de aula). No final do semestre, entrega de um trabalho escrito (paper de 15 ou
mais páginas; tópico e bibliografia a serem previamente discutidos com o professor).
