O que são as TAG QUESTIONS?

 São pequenas perguntas que vêm no final da frase com o
intuito de questionar ou confirmar algo.
Informal:
Você gosta dela, né?
Você gosta dela, não é mesmo?
Eles foram pra festa, certo?
Ela estava cansada, né?
Formal:
Você gosta dela, não gosta?
Você não gosta dela, gosta?
Eles foram pra festa, não foram?
Eles não foram pra festa, foram?
Regras básicas de Tag Questions


1º As Tag Questions sempre devem vir após a vígula.

 2º Se a oração principal estiver na afirmativa, a Tag
Question deverá esta na negativa e vice-versa.
Negação = NOT

 Sempre usamos o pronome correspondente ao da
frase principal na Tag question:
- He can drive, can’t he?
- Megg didn’t go to the party, did she?
- Tom and Phillip don’t play with us, do they?
- This movie was fantastic, wasn’t it?
Podemos fazer as Tag Questions com
os seguintes verbos/auxiliares:

 Verbo To be: IS, ARE, WAS, WERE.
- The movie is fun, isn’t it?
- You’re married, aren’t you?
- He was studying English, wasn’t he?
- Bill and Lucy were in the party, weren’t they?
Podemos fazer as Tag Questions com
os seguintes verbos/auxiliares:

 Verbos Modais: CAN, COULD, SHOULD, MUST, ...
- You can speak French, can’t you?
- He couldn’t swim when he was 5 years old, could he?
- She shouln’t go to the party, should she?
- You must see the doctor, mustn’t you?


 Muitas vezes é necessário antes de tudo perceber em que tempo
verbal se encontra a oração principal, para assim saber qual
auxiliar deverá ser usado na Tag Question.
