Miguel Morgado é Professor Auxiliar no Instituto de Estudos Políticos.
É autor de vários livros, entre os quais o mais recente foi “Autoridade”
publicado em 2010. É também autor de vários artigos e capítulos de livros
na área da história da filosofia política em Portugal assim como nos EUA.
É o autor das edições portuguesas (tradução, introdução e notas) de obras
como “Dois Tratados do Governo Civil” de John Locke, “Nova Atlântida
e a Grande Instauração” de Francis Bacon e “Do Espírito das Leis” de
Montesquieu. Em 2008 foi Professor Convidado de Teoria Política na Universidade de
Toronto (Departamento de Ciência Política). É uma presença regular na rádio, televisão e
jornais.
Miguel Morgado is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Political
Studies. He has authored several books the most recent of which was
“Autoridade” published in 2010. He is also the author of several articles
and chapters of books on the subject of the history of political philosophy
in Portugal as well as in the USA. He has authored the Portuguese editions
(translation, introduction, notes) of such works as John Locke’s “Two
Treatises of Civil Government”, Francis Bacon’s “New Atlantis and The
Great Instauration” and Montesquieu’s “The Spirit of Laws”. In 2008 he was a Guest
Professor of Political Theory at the University of Toronto (Department of Political
Science). He has a regular presence in national radio, TV and newspapers.
