A Taste of the Natural World Here is one of the highlights of the Natural History Museum to give you a taste of nature´s greatest treasure house. Dinosaurs may have become extinct around 65 million years ago, but our animated display brings them very much alive! In the dinosaur gallery, see our amazing selection of dinosaur skeletons and gain an insight into the dinosaur´s fascinating way of life. Life before birth, the structure of the body, brain Power and body processes are just some of the features of the human biology exhibition – a must for everyone who has ever marvelled at the miracle of life. Looking down on the Museum´s exhibition of Marine invertebrates – animals without backbones – is one of the largest, a giant squid which can reach 15 metres* in length. The collection also includes starfish, sea urchins, sponges and octopuses. See how many similarities you can spot between monkeys and apes, like chimpanzees and gorillas, and the most widespread and successful species of primate – Homo sapiens – ourselves! The Primates exhibition covers subjects such as primate intelligence, communication, social behaviour** and conservation. Guaranteed to have you scratching within minutes, the Creepy crawlies exhibition focus on arthropods, the group that includes centipedes, crabs, spiders and insects, like ants and bees. Arthropods are fascinating, diverse and ecologically successful, with more species than all other animals put together. The Ecology exhibition shows how air, earth, water and the sun´s energy are critical to the survival of living things and examines the impact of human beings on the environment. GENERAL COMPREHENSION 1 ) What´s it all about? a) Quantas mostras ou exposições do museu são destacadas no texto? b) Quais são elas? ... see our amazing selection of dinosaur skeletons...
