Will
(Simple Future- Futuro Simples)
O futuro simples é formado pelo auxiliar
Will + o verbo principal no infinitivo sem o to.
O auxiliar do futuro deve ser usado em todas as
frases, sejam afirmativas, interrogativas
ou negativas. Todas as frases possuem will.
Nas frases:
a)Afirmativas: O auxiliar will é usado
antes do verbo, para que, ao ouvir ou ler o
auxiliar, já se sabe que a mesma está no
futuro.
Ex.: I will watchTV tonight.
(Eu assistirei TV à noite).
b) Negativas: O auxiliar will é usado após o
pronome e acompanhado do “not”.
Ex.: We will not (won’t) buy the car.
(Nós não compraremos o carro.)
c) Interrogativas: O auxiliar will é usado
antes do sujeito, da mesma forma que,
quando um auxiliar qualquer está antes do
sujeito (pronome) ele indica frase
interrogativa.
Ex.:Will you play soccer on weekend?
(Você (s) jogará (ão) futebol esse final de
semana?
Forma Abreviada
O "will" também possui uma forma abreviada,
que é muito usada na forma oral. As contrações
são feitas apenas após pronomes pessoais na
forma afirmativa, e com o not (won't) na forma
negativa.
Ex.: He thinks he'll win money at the casino, but
I know that he won't.
(Ele acha que vai ganhar dinheiro no casino,
mas eu sei que ele não vai.)
