A “gripe suína” e a “gripe das aves” referem-se a
vírus da gripe que infectaram originalmente
apenas porcos ou aves, mas que sofreram
alterações genéticas que lhes permitem agora
infectar e causar doença nos seres humanos.
Algumas pessoas utilizam o termo “gripe suína”
para se referirem à doença causada pelo H1N1.
